June 20th, 2023: The 'Rath Yatra'

was followed by Kolkata's Prime Minister's inauguration of the enormously beautiful Rath that stood in front of the Birla High School, organized by Iskcon Kolkata. The people were super excited to start the perplexing journey of the 'Rath' that includes the three deities namely:

Lord Jagannath, Balarama, and Subhadra. 

'Subhadra' is worshipped with 'Krishna' in Jagannath Yatra.


 The Route: 

 The journey began from Minto Park and proceeded toward Hazra Crossing following Sarat Bose Lane, It then reached the Exide Crossing then followed the ATM Road that lead to Park Street, and finally halted at the Brigade Parade grounds.                                                                  

The mesmerizing journey of the people was full of enthusiasm, immense power, and beauty related to the cultural aspects of the entire community that came together to celebrate this very special occasion. More than 10,000 people walked for miles in the procession that celebrated and worshipped Lord Jagannath. The 'Bhakts' danced about the streets chanting "Haare Krishna" along with the other followers. The unity among people was stunning.
